Make Magic Release

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of projects using the amazing new Make Magic Release by Simon Says Stamp. You can check out the new products HERE!

SSS-Build a Xylophone, Rainy Days, Sunburst die

My first card features the Build a Xylophone die set. This die set made me smile so big because I had a play xylophone just like this when I was a child. I loved it so much with the rainbow colors.

I used solid colored cardstock along with some metallic silver cardstock for the metal looking parts, and for the sentiment I used the Xylophone stamp set.

My second card uses the Sunburst die for the background with Ivory cardstock.

SSS-Rainy Days, Sunburst die

I used the adorable Rainy Days die set with one of the Reverse Sunshine & Rainbows sentiment strips for the sentiment.

This is a huge release, so hard to pick just one product to add to my stash, but the flower border stencil is already in my cart! Somehow, I knew a rainbow xylophone would be your choice. Fun and colorful!

Dear Laura – These are terrific! I figured the Rainy Day dies would be a natural choice for you because of the ability to work a rainbow into your card. I almost ordered that die set but have to keep myself in check lately. I ordered the Sexy Hexies and the concentric heart dies (Geometric Hearts, I think?). I also love the xylophone…. it’s adorable the way you used it and the metallic cardstock was a genius choice for the little tops of the screws that “hold together” the xylophone. You never disappoint! Hope Hank is being a good boy – we already know he is being a cute and adorable boy! Also, hoping Alex’s knee is healing well.

I couldn’t see how you would be able to make a cohesive card out of the two main colorways you were piecing together. And then, Badda-boom, Badda-bing – the Laura Fadora magic happened and another gorgeous card appeared. The card was great, but Hank? Hank is a total miracle pup. How cute is he????
