It’s Me, JD 50K Subscribers Celebration Hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to by joining It’s My, JD for her 50K Subscriber Celebration Hop!

SSS-Big Birthday Greetings

My project features the Big Birthday Greetings stamp set. I embossed the candles in clear and blended distress inks for the color. I die cut the candles the, popped them up onto a white card base and embossed the sentiment from CZ Simple Sentiments 2. To finish it off I added some glossy accents to the flames of the candles.

Hockey Shaker Thanks

Hi there! Today I have a few hockey shaker cards to share with you. Hockey season, for the kids, has ended over here, but not for the NHL. The guys in our family are knee deep into the Stanley Cup playoffs. They’ve got that TV blairing every single night, yelping at the screen like hyenas.

SSS-CZ Thanks

I used a cut file from the Silhouette store for the hockey player image and cut them on my Silhouette machine.

SSS-CZ Thanks

I backed the window with acetate and filled the shakers with an assortment of sequins to coordinate with the colored card bases. I was concerned that my boys might think that the sequins were “too girly”, but surprisingly they loved them! You just never know with guys:)

SSS-CZ Thanks

I wanted to keep the sentiment very clean and simple so I went with the CZ Thanks die.

SSS-CZ Thanks

Now that soccer season just ended, it’s time to make a few soccer coach thank you cards, too. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beach Chickies

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the Beach Chickies stamp set along with the coordinating Beach Chickies-Creative Cuts.

Mama Elephant-Beach Chickies

To begin I masked off the background to blend Distress Oxides to go behind the Tri Window Cover-Creative Cut. This was my first time trying out the Life Changing Blender Brushes. Oh my goodness! Why did I ever doubt? They are amazing for a soft, subtle background blend.

Mama Elephant-Beach Chickies

I stamped the images from Beach Chickies with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copics and popped them up inside the windows of the Tri Window Cover die cut. I added a couple sentiments, also from Beach Chickies.

I could go for a sunny day on the beach. It’s been raining cats and dogs here in Illinois. Sending you lots of sunshine today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simple Thank You

Hi there! Today I’ve got a super simple thank you card. My son, Charlie, asked me to make a “not-so-girly” thank you card for his teacher. This is what I came up with and guess what…Charlie loved it!

SSS-CZ All Caps No. 01

I used the CZ Design All Caps No. 01 dies with lots of colorful cardstock. For the background I used some old pattern paper that looked like notebook paper, but you can also print your own.

SSS-CZ All Caps No. 01

Sometimes the simplest cards end up being my most favorite. When Charlie came home, I asked him, “Did the teacher say anything about your card?” (I always ask that, ha ha) He said, “He did! He said, “Awwww Chuckie! You didn’t have to. Did your mom make this?” Charlie just smiled and said, “Yep!” So funny. Well, that’s all for story time today:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

Rad Grad Shaker

Hi there! Today I’m sharing one of the MANY graduation cards that I’ve made lately. I wish I had more pictures to show you of the many others, but this was the basic layout and I just switched out the pattern papers and shaker colors to match the papers.

SSS-Rad Grad

This one uses some pattern paper by Pinkfresh Studio. The sentiment is one of my favorites for graduation cards. It from the CZ Rad Grad set. I stamped the graduation cap with Apple ink.

SSS-Rad Grad

I die cut the pattern paper using one of the the Stitched Rectangles dies as well as one of the Stitched Ovals dies for the shaker window. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it gives the card a really nice finish. I filled the shaker with more of those delicious Pure Sheen Gems by Tonic.

Thankful for America

Hi there! Yesterday I shared this patriotic project over on the Simon Says Stamp blog featuring the American Flag Stencil. It’s perfect timing with Memorial Day coming this weekend. For the sentiment I used the CZ Thankful 2 die.

WPlus9-New Home

Hi there! Today I’m excited to share this project over on the WPlus9 blog featuring the gorgeous New Home stamp set.

WPlus9-New Home, Welcome Wreath

To begin I stamped all of the images from New Home with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Bristol paper. I colored the images using Zig Clean Color Markers.

WPlus9-New Home, Welcome Wreath

For the background I used the Wood Planks stamp set, and for the sentiment I used Welcome Wreath.

Mama Elephant-Summer Splash

Hi there! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting the Summer Splash stamp set.

Mama Elephant-Summer Splash

To begin I embossed the shoreline waves in clear and then blended color using Distress Oxide inks followed by splatters of water and liquid watercolors.

Mama Elephant-Summer Splash

I colored the images with Copcs and used the coordinating creative cuts to die cut each image. I popped up the images with foam tape and stamped a sentiment from Beach Chickies.

The Wild Roar

Hello again! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting The Wild Roar set.

Mama Elephant-The Wild Roar

I stamped The Wild Roar image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the images with Copies. I did something a little different this time with the coloring. I just added straight, flat color without any gradient using multiple shades of Copics per image. I kinda like the smooth look for something different.

Mama Elephant-The Wild Roar

I die cut the image using The Wild Roar coordinating die and popped it up onto some Pinkfresh Studio pattern paper. The sentiment is from Labeled Messages.

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Pinkfresh Studio for their May Essential Release Blog Hop.

Pinkfresh Studio-Basic Label Frames

This is what I’m called a multi-windowed shaker. I used hexagons from the Basic Label Frames die set to create the hexagon windows.

Pinkfresh Studio-Basic Label Frames

I backed the panel with acetate, doubled up on the foam tape to give these gorgeous crystals from the Crystal Mix room to shake and then added a die cut sentiment from the Essentials: Classic Words die set.
