DieCember® Release Blog Hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for their DieCember® release blog hop. I have a colorful project to share using a couple of the fun new dies from the DieCember® release.
SSS-Spinning Circle & You're the BestMy project features the Spinning Circle die. I die cut eight different solid colored cardstocks, which allows you to make eight rainbow spinning circles. Ofcourse you could do any color combination that floats your boat. I’ve just been dying to try this with rainbow colors.

Hello & Happy DieCember®! Simon Says Stamp just released a super fun & festive DieCember® collection. Around 44 fantastic new dies. I’ve been crankin’ my Big Shot like nobody’s bizzz! My arms are gonna be so fit for the holiday, ha!SSS-Santa Cat & Santa PupI’ve got a couple of projects to share with you today featuring some of the new DieCember® goodies. This card features the Santa Cat & Santa Pup dies. I framed them using the largest Stitched Ovals dies and added a sentiment from Coolest Yulest. The plaid background paper is by Lawn Fawn. I also added some highlights to the eyes using a gel pen.
SSS-Santa Cat & Santa PupNext up, my favorite this besides a rainbow or a shaker card is a shape card. This one is perfectly pandastic!
SSS-Big Picture Book PandaI used the Big Picture Book Panda die along with the Big Picture Book Medium body. I traced the outline of the head and body todether to make a simple card base and adhered everything to the base. Believe me when I tell you I scrounged my house like a mad woman to find something adorably delicious to tuck inside his hands, but came up with nothing! So a cute little puffy gold sticker it was. I think a mini candy cane would be perfection for this, too!
SSS-Big Picture Book PandaFor the inside of the shape card I stamped a sentiment from Punny Animals. Oh, and by the way I found the perfect way to add a subtle rosy cheek to these picture book animals. I used a Detail Blending tool with Spun Sugar ink and it worked like a charm!

Christmas Tree Stitching

Hi there! Today I have such a super simple & sweet holiday card to share with you.SSS-Christmas Tree StitchingI used the Christmas Tree Stitching die and threaded some green embroidery floss, adding some random beads that I scrounged up from the bottom of our bead bin.
SSS-Christmas Tree StitchingWe have a crafty bead bin bursting with all kinds of cute beads. I had a weak moment a few months ago at my local craft store. I had all the kids with me. I was outnumbered. They talked me into buying a ton of cute beads. I might have started the whole thing. I lose my mind in the craft store. They swore they were gonna make beaded bracelets, sell them on etsy and become millionaires.
SSS-Christmas Tree StitchingNeedless to say, we’ve made a few personalized bracelets for gifts and here I am using them on my cards. But seriously, how cute is this? Might be one of my most favorite cards ever! I added a simple embossed sentiment using the Tiny Words Christmas stamp set.

Mama Elephant-Heart in Bloom

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this fun project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the Heart in Bloom set.Mama Elephant-Heart in BloomTo begin I embossed the large heart image from Heart in Bloom in clear and blended distress inks for the color.
Mama Elephant-Heart in BloomI created a shaker card by using the Heart in Bloom-Creative Cuts to die cut a window opening, backing it with acetate and filling with sequins & confetti.

Jane’s Doodles-Outdoors

Hi there! Today I’m taking a little break from the holiday card making and sharing a fun project featuring some adorable sets by Jane’s Doodles.Jane's Doodles-OutdoorsThis card features the Outdoors stamp set. For the background I blended Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire & Forest Moss onto Bristol. I flicked the background with water.
Jane's Doodles-OutdoorsFor the images, I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out. The sentiment is from the Happy Camper stamp set.

I added a sentiment using the “hugs” word die from the Tri Window Cover die set. I also embossed a coordinating sentiment from Hog and Kisses.

Peaceful Christmas Limited Edition Tag Kit

Hi there! Simon Says Stamp has just released a super fun Cyber Monday surprise, the Peaceful Christmas Limited Edition Tag Kit! I’ve created a couple of projects using the contents of this amazing kit to share.
Peaceful Christmas Limited Edition Tag KitThis first card features the Wreath Tag die. I die cut the wreath part with Midnight Green cardstock and the bow with Lipstick Red cardstock. I popped the assembled tag onto some gorgeous gingham pattern paper by My Mind’s Eye(included in the kit). To finish it off I added an embossed sentiment from Peaceful Christmas along with a few “berries” using Nuvo Postbox Red Vintage Drops.

Are You Kitten Me?

Hi there & Happy Black Friday! Are you kitten me right meow? I hosted Thanksgiving yesterday so of course I am still in my pajamas and I am not sorry about it one little bit, ha!SSS-Right Meow & Punny AnimalsFor this card I used the Right Meow stamp set. I stamped the images with Memento ink and colored them with Copics. For the background I used some Pinkfresh Studio pattern paper. For the sentiment I used my beloved Punny Animals set.
SSS-Right Meow & Punny AnimalsNot sure if you can see it, but I added some glossy accents to the one kitty’s glasses and some Nuvo drops to the pearl necklace on the other kitty.

Mama Elephant-Sending Piggie Hugs

Hello! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting the Favor Bag Accessory-Piggie-Creative Cuts along with the Sending Hugs stamp set.Mama Elephant-Favor Bag Accessory-PiggieTo begin, I die cut the Favor Bag Accessory-Piggie dies onto white cardstock and blended Blush & Piggy Bank pigment ink for the piggie and for the bow tie I used Rainwater. The eye were colored with Copics with a white gel pen for highlight. I also used Apricot ink and a detail ink blender to add a rosy cheek. The background pattern paper is by Pinkfresh Studio.
Mama Elephant-Sending HugsFor the inside of the card I stamped the large Sending Hugs sentiment using Tutti Frutti & Plumberry pigment ink. I added an embossed sentiment from Hogs and Kisses to tie in with the Piggie on the front.
