You Shine Card Kit Inspiration

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of projects using the July Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-You Shine

For this first card I used some of the pattern paper included in the kit and die cut a circle window using a Nested Circle Die. I embossed several of the small blooms from the You Shine Stamp Set in clear and blended the color using several Pawsitively Saturated Inks. The sentiment is also from the You Shine Stamp Set.

For the second card I used more of the gingham pattern paper included in the kit. I adhered one of the Tim Holtz Window Frames and added a window box from the You Shine Stamp Set.

Waffle Flower-Random Dots Foil Plate, Merry Christmas Duo Foil Plate

For my first project I used the Random Dot Foil Plate with Citrine Foil onto white cardstock. I added strips of solid colored cardstock. For the sentiment I used the Merry Christmas Duo Foil Plate with Bright Pink foil along with the coordinating die.

For this second card I used the Layered Poinsettia Stencil Duo with distress inks.

Jane’s Doodles June Release Hop

Hi there! Today I’m joining Jane’s Doodles for a new release hop!

Jane's Doodles-I Dig You, In The Garden, Grass Die

I used a combination of adorable images from the I Dig You & In The Garden stamp sets. I used masking paper to mask off the images and blended Seafoam ink onto the background. I colored the images with Copics and added a grassy border using the Grass die. The sentiment is from the I Dig You stamp set.

Creating Simple Stencils to Color Images

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a simple, lemon project featuring the You Shine Stamp Set included in the July Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-You Shine

I created my own stencils so that I could blend the color onto the larger lemon images. I also created masks using masking paper to blend a subtle Seafoam onto the background.

Pinkfresh Studio June 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hi there! Today I’m joining Pinkfresh Studio for their June Release Blog Hop!

Pinkfresh Studio-Folk Floral Stem Hot Foil & Stencil, Foiled Sentiments-3

My first project features the gorgeous Folk Floral Stem Hot Foil Plate along with the coordinating Stencil Set & Die. I blended some subtle color onto the foiled die cut using Pinkfresh Studio inks and added a sentiment using one of the Foiled Sentiments-3 pack of pre-foiled sentiments. These are SO HANDY! I also added a few of these delicious new Iridescent Clear Drops for embellishment.

For my next project I used the Geo Arches Hot Foil Plate with gold foil onto white cardstock. I used the coordinating Geo Arched Stencil Set to add some color to the foiled background.

I die cut the Ornate Circle die with vellum and trimmed it in half adhering each half to the corners of the background. For the sentiment I used another sentiment from the Foiled Sentiments-3 pack along with more Iridescent Clear Drops for embellishment. Did you notice the stunning new brass triangle embellishment tray? Wow! It is the fanciest of schmanciest tools that I’ve ever laid eyes on!

SSS-Retro Tiles, Reverse Chill Summer Sentiment Strips

For my project I used the new Retro Tiles Background Cling Stamp with several Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I masked off the different shapes so that I could stamp them in separate colors. For the sentiment I used one of the Reverse Chill Summer Sentiment Strips.

Pretty Pink Posh June Blog Hop

Pretty Pink Posh-Layered Roads, Across The Miles

For my card I used the Layered Roads Stencil Set for the background and for the card & sentiment I used the Across the Mile stamp & die sets. How adorable are these sweet little cars? The background was so fun to make. For the white dash marks on the road I used the Layered Roads Stencil with a white gel pen. It seemed to be the easiest way to get a stark white contrast on the dark grey road.
