Hi there! Today I’m sharing this fun project featuring the adorable Celebration Balloons set by Mama Elephant.
I paired the cute balloons with the critters from Up and Away. They look so sweet hanging from the balloons, don’t ya think? I colored everything with Copics and added some glossy accents to the balloons.
For the background I blended distress inks onto watercolor cardstock and then die cut the panel out using the Framed Tags-Chelsea Creative Cut. I used a multiliner pen to draw the balloon strings on and my big foam tape roll as a guide to get smooth curved lines.
How cute is that monkey? I mean, the bunny’s cute, too, but the MONKEY, gahhhh….I just love monkeys hanging from rainbow balloons, don’t you? Wishing you a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the background I blended distress inks onto watercolor cardstock followed by some flicks of water.

SSS-Cool Panda
May 31, 2017Hi there! Today I have a fun project to share featuring the Cool Panda set, which was part of the latest Cherished release with Simon Says Stamp.
How can you not smile at a panda with a top hat on with a rainbow umbrella? I stamped the images with Memento ink and colored them with Copics.
I used one of the Wonky Heart dies to cut a window opening for the panda to peek out from.
Make sure and check out the Cherished Release Gallery for more inspiration using the new Cherished release. That’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
SSS-Star Medallion Stencil
May 29, 2017Hi there! Today I have another project to share from the Cherished release with Simon Says Stamp featuring the Star Medallion Stencil.
Using the Star Medallion stencil, I blended in Wilted Violet, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade & Squeezed Lemonade followed by some flicks of water. Then I used the largest of the Nested Circle dies to die cut the ink blended design out and popped it up onto a Fog card base.
For the sentiment I used the Love 2 die and die cut several using Slate cardstock and adhered them together with spray adhesive to give it dimension. Then I embossed a coordinating sentiment from All My Love with white embossing powder onto a strip of Lipstick Red cardstock.
I also added a few of the gorgeous new sequin colors in Amethyst & Celosia.
That’s all for today! Make sure and check out the Cherished release to see more fantastic new designs. There’s also a gallery for the Cherished release where you can find amazing inspiration using the new release. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Altenew May 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
May 25, 2017
Hi there! Today I’m excited to be joining Altenew for their May Release Blog hop. If you are following the hop then you should have arrived here from the lovely Svitlana Shayevich‘s blog.
My first project features the Budding Thanks stamp set as well as the coordinating dies. I used several Altenew inks with this gorgeous multi-step stamping set. The sentiment is from Many Thanks.
For the background I used the new Layered Plaid Cover Die A. I layered white on white for a subtle tone on tone plaid pattern that didn’t distract from the colorful blooms.
This next card features the Layered Letters AFG stamp set along with the coordinating dies.
I stamped each polka dot ‘A’ with two colors of ink to give them a nice gradient look.
I die cut each letter using the coordinating dies and popped them up onto a Dark Gray panel. I also went a little bonkers with the Nuvo drops. As you can see I put them everywhere, ha!
GIVEAWAY!!
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew blog by Thursday, June 1st at 11:59 pm EDT for a chance to win. The winners will be announced on the Altenew blog on Saturday, June 3rd.

SSS-Floral Bliss
May 24, 2017Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project featuring the gorgeous Floral Bliss stamp set that was included in the June Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp. It looks like the card kit might be sold out, but most of the supplies included in the kit are available for purchase individually.
I embossed the floral bouquet image in white onto vellum and fussy cut it out. Then I stitched it onto some Wedding Bliss pattern paper by Echo Park with gold thread.
I embossed a sentiment from Floral Bliss onto a strip of Fog cardstock and added a few Sparkling Clear sequins to finish it off.
That’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Mama Elephant-The Cat’s Meow

Hello! I’m back again with Mama Elephant highlighting The Cat’s Meow set. I don’t think I could ever get tired of this adorably fun set.
I stamped the images with Memento ink and colored them with Copics. Then I cropped them off the bottom of the card and added several party hats & balloons with a sentiment from Girlfriends.
Check out the Mama Elephant blog to see more inspiration using The Cat’s Meow set. Thanks so much for stopping by!
SSS-It’s Your Day
May 20, 2017Hi there! Today I have a project to share using several Distress Oxide inks to create this colorful geometric background.
I smooshed several Oxide inks onto watercolor cardstock that had been die cut using the Basic Square dies. Then I arranged the squares and popped them up with foam tape.
I added two vellum butterflies using the Paulina butterfly die and an embossed sentiment from the Hello Beautiful set. I embossed it in white on a strip of Soft Navy cardstock. To finish it off I added some Sparkling Clear Crystals.
I also have two winners to announce from my giveaway to the next Creative Watercolor Media class.
Congratulations
Vicky Blackwell & Kristie Maynard!!
