Concord & 9th-Color Combo Swatching
April 12, 2023Hi there! Today I’m sharing a few projects from the new April release with Concord & 9th. First up is a look at the new Swatchbook Stamps & Dies that allow you to swatch out your favorite cardstocks and inks. I have a few swatches below of colors that I especially love together.
Below is a card using the new Triangle Background Die Set. I’m not saying that Concord & 9th made this die set for me, but it sure feels like it:) It is right up my geometric lovin’ alley! Here is did the background out of Nectar, which is a gorgeous new color and then scattered triangles throughout the design using several colors. The matte gold “hi” is from the Just Say More Dies along with delicious Dew Drops.
This next card was inspired by one of the swatches from my swatchbook. I used the Triangle Background Die again with a sentiment embossed from the Triple-Step Posy Print Stamp Set.
Here you can see exactly how the swatch inspired the card. I love these sort of “arizona-ish” feeling colors. You could customize this card design with any swatch with six colors.
Next is another variation using the Triangle Background Dies. I did notice that there was Dove on my swatch, but my card is actually using Pebble for the background. Either way both grays look fantastic. Pebble is a little warmer than Dove, but both are gorgeous. Here is used a matte gold “hello” die from the Triple-Step Posy Print Die Set with a few gold pearls.
One final peek at my swatches. I can’t wait to make a few more. Make sure and check out all the fun, new colors over at Concord & 9th. There are also new coordinating ink pads and ink cubes to match!

Bibi’s Hummingbirds Collection
April 10, 2023Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of projects using the beautiful Bibi’s Hummingbirds Collection with Spellbinders.
My first card features the Hummingbird Card Creator Etched dies. This creates a large humminbird to fit a 5 x 7″ card perfectly. I used a mixture of Concord & 9th cardstock, blending the edges with some ink for a soft gradient look. I stamped a sentiment from the Hummingbird Sentiments Set.
My second card uses the Pop-Up Hummingbird Etched Dies. These dies have the ability to pop-up on the inside of a card, but you can also use them just as beautifully on the front of a card like I did here.

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of project using several new products from the fun, new Beautiful Days release with Simon Says Stamp.
My first card features the Five Squares die set. I adhered stirps of solid colored cardstock and then die cut the square on an angle to create the angled striped squares. I layered on a vellum Leafy Sprig die cut with a sentiment from one of the Reverse Sister Sentiment Strips.
My next card uses the Rose-Winged Butterfly die along with a sentiment from the CZ Sisters Forever stamp set.
When I die cut the Rose-Winged Butterfly into white cardstock, I used the negative die cut as a stencil to blend the color behind the die cut.

My project features the Pop-up Butterflies Panel Die along with the Duo-tone Butterfly Stencil Duo. I layered a vellum butterfly using one of the Butterfly Shaker Dies. For the sentiment I used the Fluttering By Sentiments along with the Fluttering By Matching Die.

For the blooms I used the Fresh Air Flower Stamp Set included in the kit with several Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I used one of the CZ Reverse Sassy Mama Sentiment Strips for the sentiment.

Folksy Heart
March 31, 2023Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project using the Layered Folksy Heart Stencil Set by Simon Says Stamp.
This set comes with four layering stencils. I used a bunch of memo tape to mask off areas so that I could bring in a lot of color. You certainly don’t have to make it so complex, but I do love how this turned out. The tiny detail brushes make this so much easier to get into little areas. I used the coordinating die to cut it out. For the sentiment I used one of the Reverse You Did Sentiment Strips.

March 30, 2023Hi there! Every once and a while I crave a simple, graphic design using simple geometric shapes. Today’s project was inspired by the incredible work of Leon Polk Smith.
I used the Nested Circles dies to create this inspired pattern. For the sentiment I used one of the Reverse Grateful sentiment strips.
