Let’s Connect

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of projects using some of the fun, new goodies from the latest Let’s Connect release by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Rainbow Card dies, CZ Let Connect Word die

This first card features the Rainbow Card die set. This die set is designed to create a rainbow shaped card, but I used it here on a slimline sized card. For the sentiment I used the CZ Let’s Connect Word die.

This next card features the Large Outline Happy Die. Behind the negative spaces I adhered strips of Enchanted & Unicorn papers.

SSS-Large Outline Happy, Sentiment Strips Thinking of You

I added a coordinating sentiment from the Sentiment Strips Thinking of You.

Waffle Flower Crafts-Stitchables Hop

Hi there! Today I’m joining Waffle Flower Crafts for their Stitchables Hop. These new products are now available in the store!

In case you missed it, Nina introduced the beginner friendly Stitched Borders here, and the Pinking Shapes and Holiday Shapes for more experienced users. You can also find some Coordinating Products here!

I had a ball stitching away using some of these new dies. I’ve created three projects to share.

Wafflen Flower Crafts-Stitchables Release

My first card uses the Stitchable Pinking Rectangle Die. I created my own sort of pattern creating colorful little repeating squares. I love how this die has such a clean, decorative edge.

Waffle Flower Crafts-Stitchable Pinking Rectangle Die, CZ Love You die

For the embroidery floss I used what was in my stash. I’ve recently picked up some gorgeous neon colors at my local dollar store. For the sentiment I used the CZ Love You die with gold glittered cardstock & vellum.

This next card features the Stitchable Pinking Heart Die.

Waffle Flower Crafts-Stitchable Pinking Heart Die, Fresh Rainbow Sentiments

I stitched horizontal rows of colored floss creating a rainbow pattern. For the sentiment I used the Fresh Rainbow Sentiments stamp set and trimmed out the word “hugs” to take up less space on the stitched heart.

This last card uses the small stitchable tags from the Stitchable Squares Die set. I framed the tiny tags using the largest Blanket Stitch Layers Die with white cardstock and popped it up over some pink Half-Half Lines-Unicorn pattern paper.

I embossed another sentiment from the Fresh Rainbow Sentiments stamp set and trimmed out the word “hugs”.

Concord & 9th-Feature Friday

Hi there! I’m back with my final Concord & 9th Feature Friday project. This week’s challenge was to use the spectrum featuring the new cardstock or ink colors.

Concord & 9th-Thank You For Being

I die cut several mini floral blooms using the smallest bloom in the Fresh Cut Florals Dies Edition 3 set.

Concord & 9th-Thank You For Being

For the sentiment I used the Thank You for Being stamp set. I framed the sentiment by die cutting an Ivory panel with a Nesting Oval die.

Concord & 9th-Thank You For Being

I adhered a clear drop into the center of each bloom. Make sure and check out the Concord & 9th blog & Instagram to see more inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jumbo Stripes Rainbow

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a mod rainbow card using the Jumbo Stripes stamp set.

SSS-Jumbo Stripes, Greetings Mix 1

My inspiration came from this amazing wall mural painted by Stefanie Bales.

I used the Jumbo Stripes stamp set and was able to bend the thick stripe stamp using the MISTI to create the rainbow arches. I used Simon Says Stamp inks in: Sunshine, Doll Pink, Deep Purple, Soft Navy & Audrey Blue.

SSS-Jumbo Stripes, Greetings Mix 1

For the sentiment I used the Greetings Mix 1 stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Hello Sunshine

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a sunshine-y project with you featuring the Hello Sunshine stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Hello Sunshine

The Hello Sunshine stamp set is included in the August card kit, but can also be purchase separately.

I used the new MISTI 2.0, which is amazing by the way, to stamp the rows of stripes repeatedly using Simon Says Stamp inks.

SSS-Hello Sunshine

For the sentiment I die cut vellum and white cardstock using the Nested Circle dies. I stamped the sun & rays with Lemon Zing ink and the sentiment from Hello Sunshine with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I embellished it with a few clear drops.

Here’s a video to show how I created this project.

Wishing you a sunshine-y day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simple Geometric Stitching

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of projects where I experiment with clean, modern stitching on my cards.

SSS-Reverse Love Sentiment Strips

I was inspired by the talented Rachel Parker Designs. Her beautiful stitching pieces are so fresh and geometric. I wanted to try something similar on a card.

SSS-Reverse Love Sentiment Strips

I created my own stitching panels by punching holes using a thin needle. For the floss I used some cheap neon floss that I picked up at the dollar store. Gotta love a dollar store find! I took one single strand of thread out of the embroidery floss to make is super skinny, which gives an easy, breezy feel.

SSS-Reverse Love Sentiment Strips

For the sentiments I used the CZ Reverse Love Sentiment Strips, and die cut them using one of the Sentiment Label dies.

SSS-Reverse Love Sentiment Strips

I love the clean, geometric lines with lots of white space and bright pops of neon color.

Sending Happy Thoughts

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Simon Says Stamp blog. I was inspired by the incredible paper artist Naomi J Kendall. She does some amazing paper weaving like the one below.

I was so inspired by her piece and wanted to try something similar. I didn’t do paper weaving, although one of these days I am definitely going to try that. I trimmed strips of cardstock in a similar fashion. For the sentiment I used the Just Because Word Mix 2 stamp & die set.

Concord & 9th-Feature Friday

Hi there! I’m back with another Feature Friday project for Concord & 9th. This week’s challenge was to feature two new colors on a project. As you can see. I failed, lol! What can I say? Color is my strength AND my weakness.

Concord & 9th-Fresh Cut Florals Dies Edition 3, Hi Bestie

My two colors were Dove & Stardust, but I really felt like a pinch of other colors really brought out the beauty of the Stardust flower. I trimmed thin strips of Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, Cranberry, Poppy, Sorbet & Grapefruit cardstock to adhere behind the Stardust flower, which was die cut using the Fresh Cut Florals Dies Edition 3.

Concord & 9th-Fresh Cut Florals Dies Edition 3, Hi Bestie

For the background I embossed Positive Print Turnabout Stamp in white onto Dove cardstock. I didn’t rotate the Turnabout. I only stamped it once for a simple look. For the sentiment I embossed the small “Hi” from Hey Bestie in white onto black cardstock and die cut it with a small circle die to pop inside the die cut flower.

Botanical Heart

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a colorful project featuring the Botanical Heart stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Botanical Heart

I embossed each of the faceted heart images from Botanical Heart in clear onto white cardstock. Then I added the color using the new Ergonomic Blender Brushes by Pink & Main. I also used several of the new Concord & 9th ink colors.

SSS-Botanical Heart

For the sentiment I used a word die included the Botanical Hearts die set with gold glittered cardstock & vellum.
