Altenew-Smile More

Hi there! Yesterday I shared this project over on the Altnew blog featuring the Smile More stamp & die set. I thought I’d share it here on my blog for those who might not have seen it yet.I love these gorgeous blooms and thought they’d look awesome colored in with the emboss resist technique.

I blended a bit of Volcano Lake ink along the bottom of my panel for a little color that would compliment the flowers.
For the sentiment I stamped, die cut and popped up the ‘smile more’ sentiment. I also added another sentiment underneath from the Adore You set.

Altenew January Release Blog Hop

Hello there! Today I’m excited to join Altenew along with several talented designers for Altenew’s January release blog hop. If you are following the hop then you should have arrived here from Svitlana Shayevich’s blog.My first project features the fun new Be Strong stamp set & coordinating die set. I love these fun cactus images with the festive garland of lights.I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with Copics. For the background I blended distress inks in Wild Honey & Cracked Pistachio. I embossed the sentiment in white onto a black strip of cardstock.My next card showcases the new Farmers Market stamp set. These jumbo vegetable images are so bold and fantastic and really showcase the gorgeous new Altenew ink colors: Warm & Cozy and Tropical Forest. Totally in love with these new ink colors!Using my MISTI I multi-inked the images to give them a nice gradient look.My last card features the fun Halftone Circles stamps & dies. Such a simple card stop make, but really packs a colorful punch using several Altenew ink colors.For the sentiment I used one of the Halftone Circles coordinating dies and added a few sparkling clear sequins.To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Altenew-Sketchy Cities Birthday

January 16, 2017

Hello there! Today I’m sharing a project that I created for Altenew and was on their blog yesterday featuring the gorgeous Sketchy Cities America 2 as well as the Happy Birthday die.I am in love with this beautiful Seattle skyline! I wanted to highlight it by embossing it in clear and blending several of the Altenew inks from their Sea Shore ink set.
I used some silver foil cardstock for the Happy Birthday die cut and added a few clear gemstones to finish it off.

Altenew-November Release Blog Hop

My first project features the new Happy Dreams stamp set. I embossed the feather image in clear onto watercolor cardstock.
