Happy DieCember®!

Hello & Happy DieCember®! Simon Says Stamp just released a super fun & festive DieCember® collection. Around 44 fantastic new dies. I’ve been crankin’ my Big Shot like nobody’s bizzz! My arms are gonna be so fit for the holiday, ha!SSS-Santa Cat & Santa PupI’ve got a couple of projects to share with you today featuring some of the new DieCember® goodies. This card features the Santa Cat & Santa Pup dies. I framed them using the largest Stitched Ovals dies and added a sentiment from Coolest Yulest. The plaid background paper is by Lawn Fawn. I also added some highlights to the eyes using a gel pen.
SSS-Santa Cat & Santa PupNext up, my favorite this besides a rainbow or a shaker card is a shape card. This one is perfectly pandastic!
SSS-Big Picture Book PandaI used the Big Picture Book Panda die along with the Big Picture Book Medium body. I traced the outline of the head and body todether to make a simple card base and adhered everything to the base. Believe me when I tell you I scrounged my house like a mad woman to find something adorably delicious to tuck inside his hands, but came up with nothing! So a cute little puffy gold sticker it was. I think a mini candy cane would be perfection for this, too!
SSS-Big Picture Book PandaFor the inside of the shape card I stamped a sentiment from Punny Animals. Oh, and by the way I found the perfect way to add a subtle rosy cheek to these picture book animals. I used a Detail Blending tool with Spun Sugar ink and it worked like a charm!
SSS-Punny AnimalsI’ll be back tomorrow for a fun blog hop featuring more DieCember® goodies! Check out the new release HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Critter Sweaters

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a fun project featuring the Critter Sweaters by Simon Says Stamp.SSS-Critter SweatersHow fun are theses critters with their hilariously adorable sweaters? I used a the I Love Donuts set to stamp the circles onto the bear’s red sweater. Then I added Postbox Red Nuvo Vintage Drops to the centers of the embossed circles. I used Copics to add the rosy cheeks and accents to the critter faces.
SSS-Critter SweatersFor the kitty cat’s sweater I embossed a snowflake from Ornamental and added Bonnie Blue Nuvo Vintage Crops. Tonic Studios is having a Nuvember celebration this month highlighting their various Nuvo products each day on their Instagram feed. Today I’m featuring the Nuvo Vintage Drops. They are really unique in that they dry matte which is a fun look to try.
SSS-Critter SweatersTo frame the critters I used a large Nested Circle dies onto Soft Navy cardstock. I added a sentiment from Coolest Yulest using the Sentiment Label dies to create the sentiment banners. The pattern paper behind the critters is from Pinkfresh Studio.
SSS-Critter SweatersMake sure and check out the Tonic Studios Instagram feed to see the fun Nuvo products being highlighted all month long! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Season’s Greetings

Hi there! It’s almost Christmas! Ahhhh…I need like another week to get my act together. My back is killing me from sitting on the floor and wrapping presents, ha! I’m getting too old for this stuff! Just popping in to share a quick & simple christmas card that I made the other day using the Christmas Trees dies by Simon Says Stamp.SSS-Christmas TreesI die cut several trees out of solid colored cardstock and also some December Days pattern paper by Pinkfresh Studio.
SSS-Christmas TreesI stitched the trees on with my sewing machine and silver thread and added a sentiment from the Coolest Yulest stamp set. This stamp set has been one of my most used sets this season. I just love it!
SSS-Christmas TreesThinking of all of you during this season and thankful that you take time to stop by my old blog. Sending holiday hugs your way!

STAMPtember®-CZ Designs

Hi there! I’m back with a couple of fantastic new STAMPtember® exclusives designed by Cathy Zielske. I love, love, love Cathy’s style & especially her humor and her new sets certainly do not disappoint!SSS-CZ Designs-HollaweenThis first project features the Hollaween set. To create the background I used the ghost die from the coordinating Hollaween die set and die cut an entire panel of Fog cardstock repeatedly. Then I played the die cut Fog panel over top of a white card base and stamped the ghost images inside each die cut opening using Simon Says Stamp inks.
SSS-CZ Designs-HollaweenI stamped the “holla” and embossed the other coordinating sentiments and popped everything up with foam tape. To finish it off I added a few Nuvo Jewel drops in coordinating colors.
SSS-CZ Designs-HollaweenNext up is the Coolest Yulest set & the Hos dies. I used the smaller of the Hos dies with the White Glittered cardstock. I stacked up several die cuts for dimension.
SSS-CZ Designs-Coolest YulestI adhered several strips of red & green cardstock together to created a colorful, striped panel to contrast the glittered die cuts and then added an embossed coordinating sentiment from Coolest Yulest. To finish off I added a few Studio Katia Sparkling Crystals.
