CZ Reverse Birthday

Diamond Tiles

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project featuring the Diamond Tiles die set. This is one of my favorite die sets for several reasons. The first being that my daughter, Alex, designed this die set years ago and of course they lend themselves perfectly to my geometric loving heart. I used several shades of solid colored cardstock and pieced them together to create this fun pattern.

For the sentiment I used one of the CZ Reverse Birthday Sentiment Strips with the Sentiment Label dies.

There really is no end to the designs you can create with these dies. I find so much inspiration from quilt makers for these dies. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hockey Birthday Boy

Hi there! Popping in to share Charlie’s birthday card. I had so much fun coloring this free digi by Jane’s Doodles. Isn’t it the cutest?

Hockey Birthday

I added Reverse Birthday sentiment strip and customized Charlie’s jersey by embossing the numbers from the Games Tiles stamp set.

I can’t believe Charlie is 15! Now I’m off to make a cheesecake & pecan pie by request and blow up a thousand balloons. Wish me luck! Thanks so much for stopping by!

New Love You Release

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of cards from the latest Love You Collections by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Love on a Line, Reverse Birthday, Mini Hearts Party, Love Greetings Mix

For my first card I used the Love on a Line die set.

I used several warm shades of solid colored cardstock and added a sentiment strip from Reverse Birthday.

This next card featuring the Mini Hearts Party die.

I die cut the Mini Hearts Party die in white and then adhered strips of solid colored cardstock with foam tape behind the hearts. For the sentiment I stamped the circlular “love you” sentiment from Love Greetings Mix with versafine ink onto white cardstock and die cut it using a circle die.

I have a fun walk-through video of the new Love You Collection over on the Simon Says Stamp blog. You can check out the new release HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Vivien

Hi there! Today I have a sweet, little birthday card that I created for my daughter’s friend, Vivien.

I don’t often show all the many birthday cards that I create for my daughter’s friends. I make many, and they are almost always very last minute. I usually never have time to photograph them, but today I made a point to share this one because it is so cute. My daughters always want everything personalized for their friends. This is where alpha dies and alpha stickers come in handy. For this card I used the Pinkfresh Studio Noteworthy Puffy Alpha Stickers.

For the pattern papers I used the My Favorite Story 6×6 pack along with a few circle dies. My favorite is that layered bow. I used the My Favorite Story Fabric Bows. I also added a Reverse Birthday sentiment strips that was die cut with one of the Sentiment Label dies. For embellishment I used a few enamel dots in coordinating colors.

This is an extra special birthday card for Vivien. Vivien is a sweet little Hungarian girl who has only been in Germany for a year or so, just like Emma. Vivien cannot speak any English so it forces both girls to speak German to each other. You should hear their cute, little squeaky voices just jibber-jabbering away to each other in German with so many giggles.

I get teary eyed just looking at this card that Emma addressed to Vivien. It says, “You are my best friend. When I came to Germany I thought I wouldn’t have any friends, but I have one. My only friend is you!” I’m not sure if her grammar and spelling are perfectly correct, but it’s perfectly full of heart:) Here’s Vivien & Emma together.

The birthday present was full of pink glittery slime and stickers. Gotta love 10 year old girls! Thanks so much for stopping by!
