Love Bear Thanks

Hi there & Happy February! I forgot to share this fun thank you card that was over on the Simon Says Blog this past weekend. I used the Fruit from the Heart stamp set for the bold “thank you” and also used the adorable Picture Book Love Bear.

Be Brave!

Hi there! Today I have a fun project to share featuring the Perforated Flaps dies by Simon Says Stamp. It’s actually a card within a card within a card, so it’s VERY special:)SSS-Perforated FlapsTo begin I used the largest Perforated Flap die on the front panel. I added some patter paper to the flap along with the adorable Picture Book Love Bear.
SSS-Perforated FlapsI embossed a sentiment from the Yes You Can stamp set along with stamping another coordinating sentiment below it. This card is going to my son who leaves soon for Germany to play hockey again this season.
SSS-Perforated FlapsBehind the Perforated Flap is a hidden, smaller photo card. I simply printed off a photo of my son and I  and added an embossed sentiment from Vacation Time that I die cut using the smallest Nested Talk Bubbles dies. Inside the photo card is a McDonalds gift card for him to buy some fries and think of his momma when he is away:)
SSS-Perforated FlapsHere’s a video to show you how I created this card within a card within a card.

Layton’s Legacy Card Drive & Fundraiser Blog Hop

Hello there! Today I’m honored to be a part of a very special blog hop hosted by Lea Lawson. This hop is in honor of her sweet son, Layton Caleb. You can read more about Lea’s story here. SSS-Picture Book Love Bear & SkyI’ve created a card inspired by the moodboard below. I absolutely love the rustic, modern feel to this moodboard and what makes it even more special is the fact that it was Layton’s nursery moodboard.

I used the Picture Book Love Bear with rustic cream & white cardstock. I used Copics to add color to the hearts, eyes & nose. I also used the Picture Book Sky die with aqua & white cardstock, popping up the clouds for added dimension. I used a small triangle from the Live Well stamp set along with Barely Beige ink to stamp subtle triangles on the background. SSS-Picture Book Love Bear & SkyFor the sentiment I used the Simple Sentiments No.1 stamp set and embossed it in white onto Smoke cardstock. I used one of the Tilted Banner dies to die cut the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape.SSS-Picture Book Love Bear & SkyYou can find out several different ways to join along, whether you choose to donate, share, shop or even create. The details can all be found on Lea’s blog.

We have a huge Card Drive blog hop going on in Layton’s honor, with tons of amazing inspiration! We also have a fundraising effort, where every $5 donated gets you an entry into the prize drawing. There are over $2000 in prizes, sponsored by some of the most amazing stamping & papercrafting companies in the industry! {You can also see all the prizes HERE.}

Hello friends! Love is in the air over at Simon Says Stamp💗 Their new LOVE release just went live and I couldn’t wait to share a couple of projects using some of my favorites with you.
SSS-Picture Book Unicorn & Love BearIt’s no secret that I adore the Picture Book dies by Simon Says Stamp. There are getting to be quite a few now and I love every single one of them. Just when you thought they couldn’t get any cuter…they did! The Picture Book Unicorn and Love Bear are completely irresistible.
SSS-Love BearI used some Pebbles pattern papers from my January Card Kit along with one of the Nested Circle dies to frame the Picture Book cuties. I added an embossed sentiment from the Best Friends set.
SSS-Picture Book UnicornFor the Picture Book Unicorn I used more Pebbles pattern paper and a sentiment from the CZ Design Yay set. For fun I added an embossed sentiment on the inside of the card also from the Yay set and die cut with one of the Nested Circle Dies. I’m so tempted to make about ten more of these unicorns in every color of the rainbow🌈
