What’s Poppin’?

Hi there! The other day I shared this project over on the Simon Says Stamp blog featuring some fun products from the recent June card kit. The card kit sold out so fast, but many of the individual components are available, including the ones I used here.

SSS-Festive Bunting, 3D Popcorn Box

I loved doing a rainbow with the Bunting die. I did an overflowing 3D Popcorn Box and added a sentiment using the Having Fun stamp set.

Graduation Cards

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of graduation cards that I made last weekend. My daughter always requests custom cards with the names on them so this is what I came up with.

The Greetery-Capsule Star Studded, Altenew-Caps Bold Alpha Die Set

I had the recent Greetery products nearby so they were first to grab. On the background I used the Capsule Star Studded Borders dies, Capsule Basics dies & Capsule Party Scene dies. To customize the names I used the Caps Bold Alphabet dies and for the congrats I used the Let’s Have a Word: Congrats die.

On the inside of the card I used the World’s Greatest die for the trophy pocket. I added the “for you” sentiment from the Big Yay set.

Of Course a shaker is always a fun touch so I filled it with the Starshine Embellishment Mix.

Here was my daughter’s reaction: “Okay Mom, you went above and beyond on these and I love it!”
I’ll take that as a win!!

Geometric Star

Hi there! Yesterday I shared this fun, geometric blended star project over on the Simon Says Stamp blog.

SSS-CZ Good Greetings 1

Below was my inspiration. I believe this pattern is called sawtooth star. I’ve never quilted before, but this pattern and color combination is gorgeous!

Tiny Words Faith

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a fun stitching project. I pulled out my old sewing kit and found some happy thread.

SSS-Tiny Words Faith, Basic Shaped Circles

Ofcourse, Pinterest was my inspiration(below) I used the large circle die to trace my arched shape and punched the holes with my needle tool. For the sentiment I kept it super simple and used the Tiny Words Faith set and embellished with a few clear dots. I also should say that the Betterpress cardstock works like a dream to stitch with because of its sturdiness.

Here is a reel to show how I created this card.

I feel more stitching ideas a-brewin’. It’s so fun!

Basic Shapes Squares

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a fun, geometric card using the smallest square in the Basic Shapes Square die set.

SSS-Basic Shapes Squares, CZ Birthday Basics

Below was my inspiration. The colors, even though they aren’t in rainbow order, sparked joy. For the sentiment I used the CZ Birthday Basics stamp set.

Here is a reel showing how I created this card.

Paper Weaving

Hi there! Today I’m playing around with a little paper weaving. It was so fun to do this in rainbow order using some Concord & 9th solid colored cardstock. I added a sentiment using the CZ Hi There die.

SSS-CZ Hi There

Below was the inspiration pic that got the whole thing started. The source is by Lark & Bower, and they offer many intriguing looking paper weaving workshops.

Here is a video showing how I created my card.
