Crafty Hugs Release Blog Hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp for Day 2 of their Crafty Hugs Release Blog Hop. I’ve have a couple of fun, geometric projects to share with you featuring the Hexagon Greetings Die & Stamp Set.

SSS-Hexagon Greetings

I die cut several hexagons using the Hexagon Greetings die with white & solid colored cardstock. Then I cut each hexagon into six equilateral triangles. I know, I know…it’s a crazy amount of work, but I actually find it to be very therapeutic cutting all these little triangles and then piecing them back onto the white hexagon.

SSS-Hexagon Greetings

For the sentiment on both cards I used the Hexagon Greetings Stamp Set.

SSS-Hexagon Greetings

For this next card I added a few gold glittered triangles using gold glittered cardstock.

SSS-Hexagon Greetings

I used the Hexagon Greetings die to die cut a hexagon window opening onto an Ivory panel to frame the sentiment.

SSS-Hexagon Greetings

Here’s a video to show you how I created these cards.

OH, dear! I’m seeing things! Those 6 colored hexagons became 3D boxes in my brain! I could see inside them! Truly! I think it’s because a lot of the colors were close that it kinda looked like shadows or sumpthin giving a definite 3D look! Whoa! And I’m stone cold sober! Always am. Tea-totalling gramma. It’s all about your geometrics. They do crazy things to my brain and I like it! What fun! Beautiful! Thank you!
