Happy World Card Making Day!

Hello & Happy World Card Making Day! Today I’m celebrating with Simon Says Stamp along with other talented designers from around the world. Each of us are sharing a project featuring the CZ Chunky Christmas set.

SSS-CZ Chunky Christmas

For my card I created two-toned panels using solid colored cardstock and stamped the “joy” on each panel using VersaMark ink.

I embossed a coordinating sentiment from Chunky Christmas in white onto black and added the small holly image with small raspberry jewels.

The Versamark stamping is awesome. Don’t stop the trademark sayings, they bring a smile to my day!

    Laura,
You always know how to make a beautiful card that is simple enough that the rest of us can do it, too. Thank you for your clear instruction and humorous comments. Here’s one for you: Did your mom ever say that something runs “like sh** through a tin horn”? That’s one of my mom’s family’s favorites. My mom also says that “bread is the staff of life” and she has (and now I have) tons of others. My students kept a journal of Sra Spitzer sayings a few years back and I have to say, it was really funny to hear them read back to me late in the year (like end of May / start of June). Anyway, you rock and I hope you have a great week!! Thanks for the video.

p.s. In our family, stuff stuck in our craw or torqued our jaws, not chapped our khakis, but I still love it when you say that.

Laura, I love your CAS cards. And this blog hop was a lot of fun to see how the designers came up with so many different ideas. Leaving the Versamark image and not embossing was great. (Watermark=old school) I bet there are many new stampers who only know it for heat embossing.
…and Chunky…oh yeah..the Covid 10/15/20 gain plus Thanksgiving and then Christmas. I’d say it’s our way to build up our ‘insulation layer’ for the upcoming cold Canadian winter!
    Thanks for sharing.

Such a classic Laura card! Love the slightly untraditional rainbow of colors. Can never thank you enough for all your idea sharing. Such an inspiration for me. I definitely find my style is very similar. And Cathy’s designs are some of my favs. So a Laura Fadora and CZ Designs card is a dream come true!

You not only have a way with paper, but also a way with words! Obviously, I’m not the only one who loves it! You make life a little more enjoyable for all of us! Thank you!
