Hi there! Today I thought I would do something a little different than my usual. I thought I would share a few favorite little gifts I received from the holidays. I did this a few years back and people seemed to enjoy it. I know I always love to see what people get and are loving. First up…Amazing Grace Whipped Body Crème. My mom gave me this and it is amazing! I’ve been wearing Amazing Grace perfume for years and this has the same beautiful scent. It’s thick and creamy and perfection.Next is this “knock my socks off” beautiful Mud Pie butter dish. I bet you’d never guess that I LOVE butter dishes, ha! I have a few pretty ones that I use, but this one with it’s delicious glass knob just makes my heart go pitter patter💗This was another thoughtful gift from my mom:)
Ok, this next little number never leaves my purse. My sweet friend, Wida, gave me some of this NYX Butter Gloss a while ago and I used it all up. My sweet daughter surprised me with a new one for Christmas. The color I have is Crème Brûlée. It’s the perfect “go with everything” shade with a little bit of shine and the price can’t be beat. There are many other colors that I’d love to try someday, too.So you probably didn’t know that I love butter dishes and lip glosses, but I bet you DID know that I love chocolate, right? I don’t just love chocolate. I LOVVVVE chocolate, but not just any chocolate. Mama likes dark chocolate. I’ve never been a big caramel type of gal, but this pretty little box had an assortment and I tried the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and then I died and went to heaven. Only one problem. There were only three of those in the box. Man, oh man, oh man!
Next up, another thing that I love. I guess you could say that I love a lot of things. Is that good or bad? I love fun socks. Look at these pretty socks from the Loft with fun patterns & pretty colors. I especially love the ones on top with the skiers.
This next gift was a really special surprise from one of my design teams. Isn’t this jewelry box so pretty with my name etched into it? I would have never bought something like this for myself and everytime I look at it I just smile and am touched by the thoughtfulness of others.
Have I lost you yet? Are you enjoying this or wishing I would just shut up and share a card with you:) Ok, the last gift I have to share with you is this amazing print given to me by another one of my design teams. Yes, card makers really are the best of the best. This gorgeous print is by one of my new favorite artists, Helen Dardik. I absolutely love her effortless, colorful and truly unique style. If you don’t already, you should check out her feed on Instagram. Watching her paint is such a treat.
Now onto the good stuff:)
I have a couple of winners to announce.
The winner from my Altenew for a Year in Review blog hop is Aimee LaCroix-Slocum.
The winner from my Seasons Givings blog hop is Lisa Norstrom.
Since we’re on the topic of giveaways….how about another?
Leave me a comment telling me which gift that I shared today that YOU would love to receive. I am dying to hear. I’ll pick a winner or maybe a few to receive a very special prize💗
Thanks so much for stopping by!

January 6, 2018 at 7:37 amOh such fun gifts! I am a lover of all things Loft, so those ski socks caught my eye! But that butter dish, is so lovely, and the llama print, wow! PS…I jumped on the llama train after your Pink Fresh llama card, and had so much fun stamping with that set at Christmas. Found llama gifts at Pier One, and even some holiday cactus paper at Target, hee!

January 6, 2018 at 7:58 amHello Laura. Well Santa’s been generous with you, that means that you have been a very very good girl all year !!
Seriously, I love everything, but that butter dish is just gorgeous. This spring, I will be going through a full revonation of my kitchen and other rooms of the house, so I’ll be in the lookout of a few special pieces.
It’s always fun to read you and watch your videos. Please, do not stop! I wish you, and your family, all the best for 2018.

January 6, 2018 at 7:59 amThis was a fun post. I’ve reached the point where I really don’t want more things in my life (except craft supplies), so I like the practical nature of some of these gifts. Because of the deep freeze my neck of the woods is in, I’m drawn to the Amazing Grace body creme. Seems luxurious and has such a sweet sentiment on the box. Perfect for you! And I love the print, so I’m headed over to Instagram to check out her artwork. Thanks so much for your gift to us, the gift of your creativity and your sparkling personality that shines through on every video. Great inspiration.

January 6, 2018 at 8:33 amGoodness, Laura! What a nice group of gifts. I love creams & lotions, butter dishes and chocolate too. I lived in Belgium for 2 years. My children and I got to take a class from a Chocolatier! You can see photos here if you’d like – https://wp.me/pSFsY-1lU. (Feel free to delete this is you don’t want the link here. 🙂 ) We’re a military family – retired now.) Love great socks too. I bought cozy and/or pretty socks for all 4 of my children and my mother for Christmas. That jewelry box is so pretty! I am going to follow Helen on Instagram. Thanks for sharing the link to her Instagram feed. I think that one of my daughters and I saw that butter dish (or one very similar with a pretty knob on the top) in a local shop named “Possibilities.” Anyhow, I really like the butter dish a lot. Pretty sure that I don’t NEED another one, but it is so pretty! Happy New year! I’m a big fan of your work and learned so much taking your Craftsy class a few years ago. You are a blessing and an encouragement to me.

January 6, 2018 at 8:44 amAll of the gifts you received are so thoughtful, as they appear to be really hitting the right “spots” for you – which is amazing! 🙂 I would definitely want some of that chocolate (dark chocolate is my love, too!), but I doubt you’d share much of it 😉 The butter dish looks stunning, too, but I wouldn’t have much use for it in my house – I just love the way it looks!

January 6, 2018 at 8:54 amMaking cute little pouches for Ghirardelli chocolates last Christmas I too hadn’t tasted them, but when I took that first bite of the dark chocolate salted caramel I was in chocolate heaven, that dark chocolate with a hint of salt and oozing caramel…..Oh My! January 6, 2018 at 9:15 amThanks for sharing this, you got some pretty cool stuff for Christmas. That body cream sounds fabulous, I Googled it for the scent and it seems delightful. With all of the dry air inside and out in the winter, my skin needs all the help it can get. I am going to check out the NYX Butter Gloss, too. I rarely wear lipstick but I love lip glosses.

January 6, 2018 at 9:17 amWe must have similar tastes! I love Philosophy (but I’m a Falling In Love gal). I got the same lotion. Also, I love dark chocolate and fun socks. I have a couple of suggestions for you. The truffles from Seattle’s Chocolates are definitely worth ordering. Have you heard of Woven Pear sock box subscriptions? Check them out on IG. You’ll be hooked. Happy New Year!

January 6, 2018 at 9:38 amIt is so hard to pick, but for myself I have a top three. I love the dark chocolate, the darker the better. The socks I also love because you can personalize them as to what the person likes and so on. Third which is my favourite of all is the print on the card of an artist you love. I would definitely keep the card and put it in a beautiful frame to keep in your studio as inspiration. How great would that be. Thanks for sharing, take care Kari

January 6, 2018 at 9:38 amAmazing Grace is my favorite fragrance! I have an Oil Scrub that I love, but have never tried the body cream. I bet it’s wonderful as I love most of their products.

January 6, 2018 at 9:58 amLaura, it’s always fun to see what you’re up to, and today’s surprise was cool. Since I didn’t get any presents for Christmas, it’s fun to see what others enjoyed. Some of yours I’ve never heard of. I love fun socks, too, and at 75, I’m still crazy enough to do it. I would choose the socks!

January 6, 2018 at 10:30 amI love the butter dish. I have an old postage stamp wetter(not sure if that’s what its called) but it is like a trough with a roller on top and you put water in it and as you roll it put your stamp on so you don’t have to lick the stamp. I think I got it at a flea market somewhere.

I would be torn between that awesome looking Butter Gloss & those yummy chocolates. Guess I’d say the Gloss as if I eat more chocolate after all the Christmas goodies, I’ll have to buy bigger pants. Thanks for sharing!

January 6, 2018 at 12:46 pmHi Laura,
What a lot of wonderful gifts you received this Christmas. I loved them all especially the art print but because I am bed bound due to having terminal secondary breast cancer I would have to say I love the socks the best because these would keep my feet warm whilst I craft. :O)

January 6, 2018 at 1:08 pmCongratulations to your lucky winners! If I had a choice from today’s gifts the NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée would win hands down. My New Year did not start the way I thought it would, found out hubby of 28 years has been cheating for months if not years, and I think the Butter Gloss would help me feel as if I have my Survivor paint on and can take anything that is thrown at me!
I guess it is a good thing that my word for 2018 is positivity and that I am ridding myself of drama and negativity! My soul must have known before my mind accepted it! I am going to fake it till I make it!
Happy New Year and Thank You for the many inspirational posts you have shared over the years! I love checking your blog posts out! 😁

January 6, 2018 at 1:32 pmLike you I am a devoted fan of Philosophy’s Amazing Grace and have the fragrance, body butter, skin care items, etc. that a dear friend got me started on several years ago with a gift box of their items. But I absolutely love the beautiful jewelry box that you can actually see into that you received. I love how prettily it displays jewelry items.

January 8, 2018 at 10:00 amI’m like Pavlov’s dog. I salivate at just the THOUGHT of caramel, so I’d pick that gift as my fave. What fun it was seeing your Christmas gifts! Thanks for sharing!
Keiren Dunfee
