Hero Arts & Gina K. Designs Blog Hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Hero Arts & Gina K. Designs for this very special blog hop. Hero Arts is celebrating their 45th Anniversary and today they are partnering with Gina K. Designs with the release of this gorgeous Friendship Blooms stamp set.

For my project I stamped the large floral image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock. Then I trimmed several strips of solid cardstock and stamped the floral image again using Versamark ink for a tone on tone look.

Hero Arts & Gina K-Friendship Blooms

For the sentiment I used the Friendship Blooms stamp set again and masked off half of the sentiment using post-it tape to isolate only the words that I wanted to use. This is a great way to get more mileage out of your sentiments.

Hero Arts & Gina K-Friendship Blooms

Here’s a video to show you how I created this card.

When I first saw this beauty of a card, I was wondering where you got the colored vellum (allowing the stamped image below to show through). Not! Love how you created the softness by stamping in versamark over colored cardstock.

Wow! Gorgeous card. I love the way you’ve used the floral stamp. I’m not great at colouring in so I often those kind of stamps, but the way you’ve just used the outline and added colour with the strips is so creative. TFS.
