Valentine Pickup

Hi there! Yesterday I shared this cute little Valentine Pickup shape card over on the Honey Bee Stamps YouTube channel.

Honey Bee Stamps-Big Pickup, Loads of Love

I used the Big Pickup Cab & Big Pickup Tailgate set to create the front and back of the shape card.

I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and painted the images using distress inks.

For the heart balloons I used the Loads of Love set. For the “love” I used the Tailgate Alphabet Honey Cuts with Pixie Dust cardstock.

Here’s the video to show you how I created this cute shape card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lol .. Laura .. The back is called the tailgate! I love the “messiness” of the watercolor .. that’s what an old truck looks like. Beautiful.

If I would have done this, it would have been messy. Yours is aged to perfection!

Love your truck filled with love! The truck door is called a “tailgate”. I was giggling–and I didn’t de-tassle corn but grew up in the Midwest myself. My college roommate did, I lived in a dairy farming region.

OMG! I LOVE IT ALL! Ya know I have to have all the goodies! This will be one of my most expensive cards ever! But it will be WORTH IT! The shaped card really makes it special–thank you! …but my wallet hates you right now.

Laura, you’re a SCREAM! You’re mentioning the name of the set which contains the word “tailgate” and yet you’re stumped at what the “tailgate” is called. Back door? You crack me up. Also, I have heard “Go BIG or go home” more frequently than your version. Love the watercolor look. Terrific card. I have been debating about those four products (2 stamp trucks, 2 die trucks) for weeks and I just ordered the tailgate set today. Tailgate set, Laura. Tailgate.

I can’t say I love pickups, but I do love this card! You made me fall in love with it. I think it’s one of the less common cards that would really appeal to a guy, or, certain guys. The painting style is perfect for it. My parents grew up in Galesburg, so I heard about detassling many a time. Thankfully I didn’t have to do it. (I’m an East Coast girl). I don’t think I have it in me to work that hard, but I’m sure it builds character. You turned out well, didn’t you. There ya go.

OMG this is so stinkin cute. If it’s not going to one of your kiddos, it can certainly make its way up here to moi! Gotta love the LOVE on the BACK DOOR 🙂
