I Wish You Lived Next Door

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this colorful slimline project over on the My Favorite Things YouTube channel featuring some fun, new products from their May release.

My Favorite Things-My Neighborhood Die-namics, Right at Home

For the cute houses I used the My Neighborhood Die-namics and for the sentiment I used the Right at Home stamp set. I’m calling dibs on the green house! Who wants to come be my crafty neighbor? I would LOVE to have you! You can check out the video HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by!

    Laura –
You are so freakin’ funny. First, regarding the “roofs” quandary: you do say the “fs” as another commenter explained (see PegMarieD). I pronounce the “oo” as “ooooooo” not “uh.” But that is probably just a feature of where I live or how my parents pronounced it as I was learning to talk. That’s an era that will live in infamy LOL.

The funniest part of the video for me is when you declare that the sentiment says “I wish you were my neighbor.” Yes, the essence of the sentiment IS that. But that is not what the stamp says! I was laughing out loud. The stamp says “I wish you lived next door.”

Thanks for throwing in a “chaps your khakis.” That was quality video!

Are you all back from Germany for good?

I would want the house that is sort of aqua-colored right near the green house. Either that or the light pink or bright pink off to viewer’s right.

    Have a great day!

Love how you do that little bit of coloring and make those roofs pop. Yep, roofs with an “f”. Love that Illinois accent–I can hear my grandmother now. I’ll take the red house on the end. I feel like a whole bunch of people should be streaming out of those houses now and celebrating. Never heard of duckweed so I had to read about it. Rather fascinating what can be done with it, if there weren’t cards to be made.

Laura, I would buy the house next door to you just to hang out together! We could eat French fries and drink lemonade! Hugs

Very cute card. I hope your daughter is recovering well from her surgery. Are you going back to Germany? It is such a priceless gift to your children to live in another country and learn a new language and to see that there are many ways to live life in a different culture. I would say as an English speaker roof, rooves as in leaf leaves not leafs… but American is an unknown quantity to me. Ruf is the noise a dog makes. Anyway very pretty card.

    Awesome card Laura.
I would love to have my crafty friends as neighbours, what about a craft village?
All crafty friends in a village, great craft shops to meet and buy new stuff, ohh my that is heaven!
Thank you so much for sharing, stay safe and have a great week.
