Garden Greetings

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project using some of the latest Garden Greetings Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Garden Greetings, Big Scripty Hugs

To begin I created a circle window frame using one of the Nested Circle dies into white carstock. Then on the panel behind I adhered strips of solid colored cardstock. I stamped the swag image from Garden Greetings that is included in the card kit with versamark ink for a fun tone on tone look.

For the sentiment I used the Big Scripty Hugs die that is also included in the card kit. I used vellum and gold metallic cardstock. I popped up the panel onto a Fog base and added some bubbles for embellishments.

Hi, Laura – Love the tone-on-tone, the colors you chose for this particular rainbow of strips, and the use of vellum. I’ve got to get some fog cardstock. I love how you use white against fog all the time and it looks terrific. This is a CAS card with a bit of extra interest.
    Well done!

Laura, I’m just LOVING all this happy rainbow gorgeousness on your blog lately – since childhood, I’ve always associated rainbows with, well, a hug straight from Heaven and God showing off a little bit. 🙂 I adore how you contrasted this behind the circular window and added some floral “watermarking” and vellum to keep it sort of soft!

    Thanks so much for sharing!

    Blessings,
    C
