Just a Note Blog Hop!

Hi there! Today I’m joining Simon Says Stamp for their Just a Note Release Blog Hop! You can check out all of the fun, new products HERE!

SSS-Citrus Slice Background, CZ Just a Note

Both of my projects feature the Citrus Slice Background die. There are so many things you can do with this die to create unique looks. Here I used solid colored cardstock and made rainbow slices for a kaleidoscope of color.

SSS-Citrus Slice Background, CZ Just a Note

I also used the CZ Just a Note word die for both cards with vellum and matte gold cardstock.

SSS-Citrus Slice Background, CZ Just a Note

For this card I blended Pawsitively Saturated inks behind the open die cut slices and popped up the panel for a fun, shadow. I embellished both cards with clear sequins.

Here is a video showing how I made the first card.

Love the navy and love the dimension (yes Laura, the dimension DOES make a difference!). You have a way of making a product I initially didn’t think I needed become a “must have.” Such a fun colorful card — love it!

    Hi, Laura –
WOWZERS!!! I love this! I will be adding this to my cart TO – DAY! I like the addition of the navy layer but right before you perfectly aligned it….when it was a smidge offset… is when I think the WOW factor was highest, if I’m honest. I thank you for the “chaps your khakis.” I had that in the LauraFadora pool for today, so I just won $10… JK!! I think the word you may have been searching for was “uniform.” You came up with “consistent” – which was perfectly valid – but you seemed dissatisfied. Uniform? Just an idea.
Love this so much!!!! TFS!! And I adore the second card as well. I think that when I consider the time element required for each card, I probably like the second card better. In both cases, the stacking up / dimension is what really sells it for me.

You were really thinking outside of the box today, Laura. There was NO white border, like you do with a lot of your clever and beautiful cards. Of course, you could always trim the half circles off (and eliminate the problems with the tiny pieces), and then add it on a white border! Just saying.
