Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Simon Says Stamp blog featuring the Tall Poinsettia Die along with the Fluted Forest Embossing Folder. I used the Vintage Holiday Swag set for the sentiment.
You can check out the video of this project HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by!

November 11, 2024 at 11:58 amDear Laura – OMGosh… lots to unpack here. In no order other than what is bubbling up to the top of my brain: First, you’re killin’ me! You did not tell the magic stain treatment combo. Second, I think “Empress” is the feminine of “emperor” as in “Josephine, Empress of France.” It’s a play on words, for sure. Third, your card is GORGEOUS. Next, here is a little history, in case you did not know: In 1825, Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first U.S. ambassador to Mexico, introduced the poinsettia to the United States. Poinsett noticed the plant growing wild in the hills around Taxco, Mexico, and sent some home to his greenhouse in South Carolina. The plant is named after him. Many people pronounce it without the “eeee” sound near the end, but that is supposedly the “correct” way to say it. You can call it a “flor de Nochebuena” if you like since it was called that a long time before Mr. Poinsett stumbled onto it.
p.s. Maybe buy some throw rugs or a runner if you have a front hall? Love Hank. He’s so cute.
