Altenew Build-A-Flower: Dahlia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Altenew for their Build-a-Flower: Dahlia release blog hop. If you are following the hop then you should have arrived here from Norine Borys’s blog.

Altenew-Build-a-Flower: Dahlia

For my project I embossed the outline floral images from the Build-a-Flower: Dahlia stamp set in clear and then for the color I blended Altenew inks. I used Pink Diamonds, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Orange Cream & Autumn Blaze. For the leaves I used Bamboo & Olive.

After die cutting the floral images, I embossed a sentiment included in the Build-a-Flower: Dahlia stamp set. Before adhering the images I flicked a little bit of Licorice liquid watercolor onto my white cardbase. I also added a few Studio Katia sequins here and there for embellishment.

Sketched Flowers

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project using the Sketched Flowers stamp set.

SSS-Sketched Flowers

I stamped the floral image with Memento ink and colored it with Copics. Then I took a white gelly roll pen and added some highlights along with a few flicks of licorice liquid watercolor.

SSS-Sketched Flowers

For the sentiment I embossed the “happy birthday” from Beautiful Flowers and die cut using one of the Nested Banner dies. For embellishments I used a few jewels in coordinating colors.

Masking with Distress Oxide Sprays

Hi there! Today I have a couple projects to share with you that I’ve created experimenting with masking using Distress Oxide Sprays.

SSS-CZ Love You-Distress Oxide Sprays

For this first card I simply masked off straight lines and overlapped the sprays to give it that gorgeous combination of colors. The colors of Oxide Sprays that I used are: Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon & Cracked Pistachio.

SSS-CZ Love You-Distress Oxide Sprays

For the sentiment I used the CZ Love You word dies along with a few Studio Katia sequins.

SSS-CZ Love You-Distress Oxide Sprays

For this next card I used a heart mask that I created with one of the Ornate Love hearts dies and some acetate. This could be so much fun to do with various shapes like maybe triangles for a fun geometric design.

SSS-Everyday Words on a Line-Distress Oxide Sprays

For the sentiment I used one of the Everyday Words on a Line dies. Here’s a video to show you how I created these cards.

I’m feeling pretty much addicted to these oxide sprays at the moment, and have more ideas than time. If only I had a cook and a house cleaner and a nanny, lol! I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mama Elephant-Birdie Wreath

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the adorable new Birdie Wreath set.

Mama Elephant-Birdie Wreath & Hippity Hop

To begin I stamped several of the images from Birdie Wreath as well as the banner image from Hippity Hop and colored them with Copics. Then I used the coordinating creative cuts to die them out.

Mama Elephant-Birdie Wreath & Hippity Hop

For the background I blended Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Wild Honey & Squeezed Lemonade onto Neenah Solar White cardstock. Then I used foam tape to pop up the images over the ink blended background.

Mama Elephant-Birdie Wreath & Hippity Hop

I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops in Rose Water, Orange Marmalade & Limoncello here and there for accents. Those Nuvo Drops are dangerous. Once you get started, it’s almost impossible to stop!

Mama Elephant-Birdie Wreath & Hippity Hop

I think this would make a perfect wedding or even baby card. Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Distress Oxide Sprays

SSS-Everyday Words on a Line, Ornate Love & Distress Oxide Sprays

Hey there! Today I have a fun project to share where I experimented with the Distress Oxide Sprays. These are so much fun to used, although I have MUCH to learn! Once I sprayed the background with Mermaid Lagoon & Cracked Pistachio I turned it into a card using the hearts from Ornate Love, a sentiment from Everyday Words on a Line & Tiny Words. I also added a few gorgeous Studio Katia sequins.

Mama Elephant-Poppy Flowers

Hi there! Today I’m sharing these two fun projects over on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube channel featuring the Inked Florals stamp set.

Pinkfresh Studio-Inked Florals, Oval Foliage

For this first card I stamped the floral outlines from Inked Florals with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped the solid floral blooms using Mama Elephant pigment inks. I added a sentiment from Oval Foliage and framed the design using pattern paper from the Joyful Day collection.

Pinkfresh Studio-Inked Florals & Joyful Day Puffy Phrases Stickers
