Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Altenew for their 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop! If you are following the hop then you should have arrived here from the Altenew blog.My project features the Citiscape Cover Die A. This is a layering die, but I thought it would be fun to show it used alone in a shaker card.
For the background I adhered several strips of colored cardstock and embossed a simple hello sentiment from the stamp set included in the New Day Card Kit.

Neat & Tangled-Polygon Cover Plate

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Neat & Tangled blog featuring the gorgeous, geometric Polygon Cover Plate die For the background I painted watercolor cardstock with distress inks and then adhered the panel with Stick-It to fun foam and ran it through with the Polygon Cover Plate.
For the sentiment I used the Awesome word die and embossed a coordinating sentiment from the Awesome stamp set.

Mothers, Fathers & Florals Release Blog Hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join Simon Says Stamp & several talented designers to showcase their new Mothers, Fathers & Florals release.I was inspired by Kristina Werner’s shaker card here and wanted to try a jumbo version showcasing the Star Flower background cling.
I embossed the Star Flower in clear and blended two inks from the Morning Sun cube set along with Lemon Zing.
I added a sentiment using the Big Mom die along with a coordinating embossed sentiment from Mom and Dad Icon stamp set.
I used a different color combination on this one with High Dive, Mint Candy & Jellybean. The sentiment is from the Big U stamp & die set. I filled both circle shakers with lots of different sequins from Simon Says Stamp & Pretty Pink Posh.

I used one of the gorgeous pattern papers included in the kit for my background.
I embossed a couple butterflies onto vellum as well as a sentiment from the stamp set included in the kit. I also used the gorgeous frame die cut with the gold foil cardstock.

Mama Elephant-Timeless Tulips

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the Mama Elephant blog featuring the Timeless Tulips stamp set.This is what I call my “loosey goosey” watercoloring technique. I am slowly trying to chip away at my fear of watercoloring…hence the “loosey goosey” look:)
I embossed the tulip image in clear onto watercolor cardstock and then painted the image using my distress inks.

SSS-Spring Seeds Shaker Tags

Hi there! Today I’ve got a trio of colorful shaker tags featuring the Spring Seeds set by Simon Says Stamp.Aren’t these fun Easter themed tags? Thinking about using these for some cute little Easter basket gifts. I used on of the Large Tag dies to create my tags. I colored the images with Copics and blended distress inks on the outer tag.
I filled the shaker tags with some Rain, Meadow and Clear sequins and added a sweet bow on top using the Perfect Bow dies.

For the background I smooshed distress inks onto my kraft mat and using a wet brush I loosely painted the background onto watercolor cardstock followed by some flicks of water.

SSS-Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintables

Hi there! Just popping in to share a sunny little card with you today:) I had some fun coloring one of Suzy’s In Full Bloom Watercolor Paintables.I used Copics instead of watercolors because I’m a watercoloring chicken. Then I fussy cut the whole thing out and popped it up onto a panel that I blended distress inks onto.
The sentiment is from Hope Blooms. I added a few sparkling clear sequins and that’s all she wrote!
My girls love to grab these watercolor prints and just have fun & color. I think they would make a great gift for teen girls or any age for that matter. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of A Blog Named Hero

My project features the gorgeous Color Layering Hibiscus stamp set & coordinating dies.
I used several Hero Arts ink cube sets on the flowers & leaves: Flower Petal, Floral Hues, Rain Forest & Morning Glory.
I used the Happy & Hello Stamp & Cut sets for the sentiment. I blended color on the happy die cut using the Morning Glory ink cubes.
