Happy Circles

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a couple of cards where I played with my circle dies to create these fun, geometric patterns.

SSS-Nested Circled, Reverse Thankful & Grateful

For this first one I used the smallest Nested Circle Die and repeatedly die cut it nine times onto a panel of Slate cardstock. I used one of the Geometric Builder Circle Dies to die cut the solid colored cardstock to adhere behind the openings. For the sentiment I used one of the Reverse Grateful and Thankful Sentiment Strips.

I was inspired by this Happy Circles print from Society6.

I wanted to try another version and mimic similar colors in the print above.

This time I created a square 5.5″ x 5.5″ card. My panel is out of Soft Navy and the sentiment is from the Bold Mom Sentiment Strips. The Pawsitively Everything 6 inch T Square Ruler helps a ton to get the circles straight and even.

I don’t think I will tire of colorful geometric patterns. Thanks so much for stopping by!

New Distress Halloween-Glow Grit Paste!

Hi there! Today I have a project to share featuring a couple of the new Distress Halloween products by Tim Holtz. I was so intrigued by the Glow Grit Paste and couldn’t wait to try it.

SSS-Out of This World, Distress Grit Glow Paste

For my project I used the Grit Glow Paste with the Dimensional Stars Stencil on Slate Cardstock. It is INCREDIBLE when it glows!! I spritzed some Twilight Mica Stain on white cardstock and die cut it with a Nested Circle Die to create a sort of large “planet”. The rest of the images and sentiments are from the You are My Universe Set.

Just a Note Blog Hop!

Hi there! Today I’m joining Simon Says Stamp for their Just a Note Release Blog Hop! You can check out all of the fun, new products HERE!

SSS-Citrus Slice Background, CZ Just a Note

Both of my projects feature the Citrus Slice Background die. There are so many things you can do with this die to create unique looks. Here I used solid colored cardstock and made rainbow slices for a kaleidoscope of color.

I also used the CZ Just a Note word die for both cards with vellum and matte gold cardstock.

For this card I blended Pawsitively Saturated inks behind the open die cut slices and popped up the panel for a fun, shadow. I embellished both cards with clear sequins.
