Have the Best Day Ever

Hi there and happy Friday! Popping in to share a fun card using the sweet little Dandelion die from the latest May Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Dandelion Die, Narwhal Friends

I added some colorful strips of solid colored cardstock to create the background panel and for the sentiment I used the Narwhal Friends stamp set.

I created another fun reel over on my Instagram with this card. I’m kind of addicted to the quick format of reels. It’s a 15 second reel set to a Joan Jet classic. Never knew I could have any more fun stripping it up with cardstock then when I tried it to “I Love Rock n’ Roll”. My life has been changed!

The Dandelion die pops beautifully on the colorful strips has a bit of shimmer using glittered cardstock. Check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to see more inspiration using the May card kit HERE and you can also check out my reel HERE! Wishing you a wonderful Friday❤️

Friendly Flowers

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project using the beautiful Friendly Flowers stamp set included in the April Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Friendly Flowers

To begin I embossed the large floral swag in clear onto white cardstock. I blended distress ink in Kitsch Flamingo, Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon for the color. I added a little bit of Candied Apple to the centers of the flowers to make them pop. These small detail brushes work so good for this.

SSS-Friendly Flowers00

I stamped the sentiment & striped border image also from Friendly Flowers and flicked on some black soot onto the panel.

Blooming Meadow

Hi there! Can you believe today is the last day of February already? Where do the days go? Today I’m sharing another project featuring the Hello Beautiful release by Simon Says Stamp.

SSS-Blooming Meadow, Mix & Match Squares Stencil

For the background I used the Mix & Match Squares Stencil. I blended Pinkfresh Studio inks onto a panel first to lay down a soft base, then I adhered the stencil over top and blended with the same colors with more intensity. I added a few flicks of similar color inks as well as water & white ink over top of the blending for a little texture.

For the bouquet I embossed the outline images from Blooming Meadow in white onto vellum and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The sentiment is also from Blooming Meadow embossed in white onto black. For embellishment I added a few Raindrops.
