Happy STAMPtember®!

Happy STAMPtember® everyone!! This is going to be a month long party full of amazing new products, but today we are celebrating the exclusive new STAMPtember® release by Simon Says Stamp.
SSS-Big Picture Book Lion, Kitty & HippoYa’ll know how I feel about the Picture Book dies, right? Well, they’ve made them bigger! They are so adorable and with this size you can do lots of fun things including making cutie patootie shape cards.
SSS-Big Picture Book HippoThis first shape card uses the Big Picture Book Hippo. I used Fog and Smoke cardstock for the face along with Cotton Candy for the inner ears & Black for the eyes.
SSS-Big Picture Book LionAnd this next one is the Big Picture Book Lion. To make the shape card, I traced the outline of each animal onto a white card base and fussy cut them out, being careful to leave a hinge at the top of each one. Then I adhered the solid colored cardstock over top to create the faces.
SSS-Big Picture Book KittyThe last one is my favorite featuring the Big Picture Book Kitty. There’s so much more to see of this fantastic new release. Make sure and check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to see more! Thanks so much for stopping by!

WOOT!

SSS-Grid Play, Picture Book Panda, Birthday PaloozaHi there! Today I’m sharing a colorful project where I experimented with Alcohol Inks. I’ve been watching a bunch of YouTube videos and learning so much. I was so inspired to try this “wet in wet” technique. For this technique you generously wet your Yupo paper with Blending Solution first. Then I added three stripes of Alcohol Inks in the colors: Stream, Flamingo & Sunshine Yellow. You basically just tilt the panel around and let the inks blend and work their magic.
SSS-Grid Play, Picture Book Panda, Birthday PaloozaAfter the ink blended panel was completely dry I stamped it using the Grid Play Grid background cling stamp with Alcohol Lift Ink. I added the sweet Picture Book Panda and sentiment from Birthday Palooza to finish it off.
SSS-Grid Play, Picture Book Panda, Birthday PaloozaHere’s a video to show you my “wet in wet” alcohol ink experiment.
So much fun! Hope you enjoyed the tutorial! Thanks so much for stopping by!

So Grateful for You

Hi there! Today I’m sharing another project using some of the fun new products from the Friendly Frolic release by Simon Says Stamp.SSS-Leafy Frame & Uplifting SentimentsTo begin I blended distress inks onto bristol paper. Then I took a few of the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors and flicked Key Lime over the Twisted Citron, Aquamarine over the Mermaid Lagoon and Sapphire over the Blueprint Sketch. I love how this turned out. I die cut these ink blended panels using the Leafy Frame die, creating two leafy frames to layer.
SSS-Leafy Frame & Uplifting SentimentsFor the sentiment I used the Uplifting Sentiments. Then I flicked Licorice watercolor over the white card base. I adhered the green leafy frame panel flat onto the card base and popped up the blue leafy framed panel with foam tape for dimension. To finish it off I added a few sequins in like colors using the Chameleon & Pool Party sequin mixes.
SSS-Leafy Frame & Uplifting SentimentsThat’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
